Venture Center Partners with UNIDO & BEE to Strengthen Technology Transfer in India
Venture Center, India’s leading incubator for science-driven enterprises, has joined forces with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) to enhance technology transfer offices (TTOs) across Indian institutions. This initiative aims to accelerate the commercialization of research and innovation by fostering stronger industry-academia collaborations.
This partnership is part of UNIDO and BEE’s ongoing Facility for Low Carbon Technology Deployment (FLCTD) project, which has successfully supported over 30 climate-tech startups in bringing their innovations to market. Building on FLCTD’s expertise in de-risking innovations, the new initiative will equip technology transfer professionals, startups, researchers, and policymakers with the knowledge and tools to drive impactful technology commercialization.
Venture Center will lead the development of a Technology Transfer Handbook and a training program, leveraging insights from global experts, including Dr. Ashley Stevens, Dr. John Fraser, and Dr. Richard Cahoon —all past presidents of the Association of University Technology Managers (AUTM).
Over the next ten months, this initiative will provide hands-on guidance and training to strengthen India’s technology transfer ecosystem, enabling research breakthroughs to transform into real-world solutions.
Stay tuned for updates on this impactful collaboration!
