Tech Transfer Online
Tech Transfer Online is a new initiative of Techex.in at Venture Center, Pune, India to build and strengthen community resources for tech transfer professionals in India. This effort was initiated in 2025 with initial support under the Facility for Low Carbon Technology Deployment (FLCTD) initiative operated by UNIDO, BEE and GEF.
Venture Center collaboration with UNIDO-BEE-GEF’s FLCTD Initiative
In 2024-25, the Facility for Low Carbon Technology Deployment (FLCTD) initiative operated by UNIDO, BEE and GEF awarded a project to Venture Center titled “ To develop a Training Programme and a Reference Handbook for the Technology Transfer Offices in India to enhance commercialization of innovation and increase academia-industry collaboration on research, development, and deployment.” This website aims to serve as meeting place for tech transfer professionals in India and help make available community resources and learning/ experience sharing events.
The following are immediate goals of the project:
1. TTO Practice School
– Online training & webinars (online foundation course)
– In-person workshops (in-person certificate course)
2. TTO Learning Resources
– TTO Handbook
– Online Manual
3. Online communities and information channels
– Information channels (Email, WhatsApp)
– Discussion groups (WhatsApp)
The above efforts shall benefit from the experiences of international experts and National experts in technology transfer. These efforts are also informed by the Study Report on the Status of Tech Transfer in India commissioned by FLCTD.

The Facility for Low Carbon Technology Deployment (FLCTD) is a project that aims to identify innovative energy efficiency and low carbon technology solutions that address the existing technology gaps in Indian industrial and commercial sectors.
