About this Program

UNIDO – BEE – Venture Center

Develop a Training Programme and a Reference Handbook for the Technology Transfer Offices in India to enhance commercialization of innovation and increase academia-industry collaboration on research, development, and deployment

This project, led by UNIDO and BEE, aims to enhance the commercialization of innovation and academia-industry collaboration in India by developing a comprehensive training program and reference handbook for Technology Transfer Offices (TTOs). The initiative addresses the need for multidisciplinary training for TTO professionals, focusing on key aspects like science, technology, management, intellectual property, and law. Through a consultative study, the project identifies barriers to technology transfer and provides capacity-building solutions, including an online course, in-person certificate programs, and an online community. Venture Center was awarded the contract in September 2024 to develop these resources and support the growth of India’s technology transfer ecosystem.
